My poor Surface 7 Pro has been having conniptions more and more the last few months. (Blue screen of death comes to mind.) So, I reluctantly decided I’m going to go back to using my MSI laptop I bought a few years back.
I’d forgotten just how much I hate changing out computers. Years and years worth of loaded software to sift through to see what I use most. Trying to find where the original install files are. Loading them, one by one. Discovering my MSI laptop doesn’t support more than 1 extra monitor. Or either of my docking stations. Arrrgh.
Have you ever noticed that loading computer software is about as fun as watching paint dry? (And don’t get me started on the number of restarts it takes…)
So, if my website is a bit messy, especially the genealogy portion, I apologize. It’s because I’m having to remember with my feeble brain where I stuffed all the data in the past. Thank goodness I tend to keep everything on a couple external USB drives. Makes it a tiny bit easier to just plug them into the new pc and have access to it all.
